Seduction: Masquerade of Shadows needs volunteers, performers, makers, and artists! Help make this year’s Seduction one to remember and apply to be a part of the behind-the-scenes crew.
Performers
Event producer, performance artist, and burlesque performer, Carson St. Clair, triumphantly returns to the role of the Curator of Shadows. Carson will be gathering the performers who will surround, beguile, and titillate at Seduction: Masquerade of Shadows. You have until September 26th to whisper your plans for immersive, interactive, and roaming character performances into the ether. Visit the Seduction performer application form here. Stipends are available for a select number of artists to perform two 30-minute immersive sets. Performers are asked to engage with participants in character, interact with the art projects or installations, and/or perform a durational act for participants to observe. Please go here and complete the application by Thursday, September 26, to be considered.
Volunteers
Seduction is a intimate spooky affair on a smaller scale than the weekend-long adventure that is SEAF. That said, we still need a group of dedicated volunteers to make the evening flow smoothly. Volunteer roles include: setup, tear down, keeping the gallery inviting, security, and other tasks. Volunteers willing to take on the graveyard shift (the last two hours of the event and teardown) will have shorter shifts and our undead gratitude. If that sounds like something you’re willing to help us with, please sign up here!
Make sure to put Thursday, October 17th 7pm on your calendar for the Volunteer Orientation. This is a mandatory, “all call” meeting for Seduction volunteers. Learn the wheres, hows and whys of all the volunteer jobs necessary for Seduction. We will tour Gallery Erato and go over all the different volunteer roles so that everyone will know all about their volunteer shift before arriving on October 19th. We will have light refreshments, swag, and raffle prizes for you from one of our artists! The orientation will be at Gallery Erato at 309 1st Ave S. in Seattle.
Artists and Makers
Finally, all you artists and makers with a penchant for the strange and unusual! We have a special request of you: can you create something to rival last year’s spiderweb of rope work? We are looking for a large-scale art or set piece, or interactive elements. Themes should be realm of the mysterious, half-hidden in shadows, or any element of a masquerade. Please email Sophia at director@seattleerotic.org with your ideas. Stipends available for supplies.
We look forward to the opportunity to work with you! Seduction: Masquerade of Shadows is a fundraiser for the 2025 Seattle Erotic Art Festival. By helping put on Seduction, you help make SEAF go!
